Summer Essentials Series - Part 4

06:00

Next up in my series of summer essentials are maxi dresses, one of my favourite summer looks and something I always look forward to stocking up on. Effortlessly simple and stylish, pair with some pretty flipflops or dress up with chunky stacked wedges for wearable holiday glam.

Topshop, £40

The mesh panelling on this black strappy maxi dress from Topshop add a hint of sexy night time glam, making this the perfect option for dressing up. Mesh panels and cut outs have been a massive trend recently, and this is set to continue on into the summer months. Pair with chunky wedges or flatforms and keep accessories simple and you're on to a winner.

New Look, £34.99

I LOVE the mix of colour blocking and aztec style pattern on this floaty maxi dress. The cinched in detail at the waist creates a great silhouette, while the placement of colour blocks creates shape and adds movement to the dress. Chunky black straps give a strong, clean line and the racer back design is the perfect cherry on the cake, creating a gorgeous dress that is definitely being added to my holiday wish list. Throw on some wayfarers and you're good to go.

River Island, £20

How can you not love this gorgeous green colour? This dress is the perfect example of easy holiday style, ideal for throwing on to head to the beach or for some chilled souvenir shopping. Jazz it up with some sandals, pile on the bangles or layer up some gold necklaces and top it all off with your choice of sunnies - it couldn't be easier. £20 is incredible value for how wearable this piece is, plus they have it in other gorgeous colours including coral, a shocking neon yellow and, of course, black. What one will you choose?

Mango at ASOS, £59.99

Finally, this timeless classic from Mango is simply divine. Beautifully designed, this shape will flatter in an effortlessly chic way. This stunning subtle colour palette of tans, corals and navy is always a winner, securing this piece a place in my list of must haves. Although £59.99 is a bit pricey, I think it is more than worth it and will end up being something you keep for seasons. Plus, everyone needs a little treat every now and then.
