Getting Creative

03:41

As you all know, I love a bit of DIY creativity. As I said in my previous post since finishing university for the summer I now have a whole lot of time on my hands to spend creating some (hopefully) gorgeous handmade delights. This is also definitely helped by the fact that as of tomorrow I am going home for a week, and will FINALLY have access to my beloved sewing machine. I am not a fan of hand sewing, far too slow and time consuming so having the sewing machine makes me far more likely to get going on some projects.

This bag will look awesome in some bright, contrasting summery fabric, perfect for holidays

So far I have plans to make a couple more of the beach bags from my previous post, as I think they will be perfect for my mum and I when we go on holiday next month. I also found a very simple but effective pattern for a high waisted skirt, made even easier through use of elastic and not zips/fastenings. This would be perfect for some gorgeous ditsy floral fabric I've been holding on to for a while now, and there's always something so satisfying about making your own clothes. The last thing I have planned so far is making a present for my friends baby Noah, who is due to be born in September - giving me the perfect excuse to create some cute little baby treats.

Skirt inspiration!

I will keep you updated with pictures of how these all go, hopefully with the adition of more things as I get inspired!
