Sun, Sea and Sangria
19:00Finally, I have a holiday to look forward to! For a week in July I am jetting off to a gorgeous resort in Tenerife to spend a week enjoying all the sun, sea and sand I can possibly get my hands on, with my lovely family and boyfriend. Now, those that know me will already be aware that I love everything about going on holiday - from clothes shopping, getting foreign currency in those shiny little plastic bags, making countless lists detailing exactly what I am taking, packing and then the final pre-take off high, the airport. I come from a family of airport lovers; happy to arrive hours early and spend as much time as possible getting into ‘holiday mode’. A mooch round duty free, the obligatory perfume shopping (and usually purchasing) and a latte are the norm for the start of a Quinn family holiday - and Im already getting far too excited for the entire process.
This is already making me feel more than justified to be ogling summer dresses and (my sunshine staple) a variety of shorts in all styles, colours and patterns. Every summer I tell myself I am going to wear more skirts and dresses, enjoying the feminine florals and pastels that engulf the high street in preparation for the sunshines arrival - apart from this year. By now I have realised that I am a shorts lover through and through, from high waisted black levis to classic distressed daisy dukes, they are my summer companion every year. I am going to embrace their faithful devotion and give them the credit they undoubtedly deserve.
So prepare for many posts describing my hunt for the perfect bikini, the 76 vest tops I’ve purchased and how I am falling deeper and deeper in love with my latest denim lover.
