Perfect Gentleman

12:45

I want to start this off by saying I have an amazing boyfriend. He makes the best cup of tea, does all of the cleaning, and is always doing cute things like surprising me with pancakes for breakfast or date nights. There is, however, one area where he is not always the ideal companion - shopping. Don't get me wrong, this is not always the case. In his own words when he has been pre-warned of an upcoming shopping trip he has time "to psych himself up for it", and is then more than happy to offer opinions, wait patiently while I try stuff on and carry all the bags. When he has not had prior warning, it's an entirely different story.

A perfect example of this was just last week, when we ventured into town for a coffee and to look for a jumper and tie for his upcoming job interview. Whilst heading for the exit in Primark I started to wander through the womens section, casually browsing through potential holiday clothes when he appeared at my side with a vaguely pained expression uttering the words "We're looking for me Elizabeth!" repeatedly whilst motioning me towards the exit. After collapsing in a fit of giggles at his reaction, I realised that really I should let him have this one. Most guys are completely against shopping at the best of times, especially with girls who are painstakingly slow and usually incapable of making a decision. I tend to be someone thats better off shopping alone anyway, so the fact that he puts up with my annoying indecision and my habit of browsing all possible shops before returning to each one to make my purchases is a miracle in itself. Plus even when he's hurrying me out of shops, he still carries all the bags - I'm a lucky girl.
