Crazy for Kukee

I recently discovered this gorgeous jewellery brand online and after receiving my first order today, I knew I had to share it with you. Kukee is an amazing, affordable jewellery brand full of quirky pieces that are sure to have hitting the 'add to basket' button. Their items are bang on trend yet unique, allowing you to add an individual slant to your outfits. My big obsessions with regards to jewellery are bracelets and rings, as I dont wear earrings and never wear necklaces. I headed straight to the rings section of the website, and instantly fell in love with the twisted above knuckle band the quirky double cross chain rings, and thought these would be perfect additions to my ring collection. I love them!

Everything on the site is really reasonable, as well as affordable delivery costs, and I am already tempted by more of their gorgeous pieces. Here are some of the things I'm lusting after, hopefully they'll be appearing through my letterbox very soon!

Im guessing that over the next few posts you're going to realise something about me. I hate the cold. Winter is the worst time of year for me, and for my skin. After buying into the Simple skincare range from my last post, I wanted to find a lipbalm to help prevents my lips getting chapped and dry in the cold. I went for a Palmers Cocoa Butter moisturizing lip balm as I love cocoa butter products and thought it would work wonders. It has a gorgeous soft silky texture and really coats your lips, leaving them smooth and soft for hours. I have only been using it for 2 days and I can already notice a positive difference. As well as this, it smells amazing! If you're looking for a lipbalm to protect your lips during this horrible weather then I would definitely recommend this yummy cocoa butter option.

Well, I am finally getting back into my blog after neglecting it for the past few months. Deadlines at uni and the festive season left me with very little free time, but fortunately now I can start telling you all about what I've been up to lately.

Although technically a post about going to New York should be first, that's going to be a pretty long one! So I thought I'd ease back into it with some posts about my recent beauty buys.

I have been looking for a face care range for a while, but struggle to choose one due to my sensitive skin. I've always been aware of Simple products but never given them a try, so thought that might be a good place to start. I bought the foaming face wash, light moisturiser and eye cream to begin with, and have so far been really impressed by the results. The face wash is lovely and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft, and the moisturiser is hydrating without being greasy. I have also decided to add the night cream to my collection for a bit of extra intensive moisture during this bleak winter weather.

There are loads of tempting products in the range, from toners and cleansers to revitalising eye roll ons and hydrating face mists - an item to suit all of your skincare needs. If you're looking for a gentle, kind-to-skin range then Simple is definitely my recommendation.

After my last post regarding spooky nail art in preparation for Halloween, I thought I'd go on a hunt to find some good products to help create these designs. Although most of you would think of heading to boots or superdrug to buy your nail art necessities, lots of high street brands including River Island and Topshop have a range of nail design products on offer.

I found these nail art gems on www.riverisland.com, and was suprised by the very reasonable £3.50 price tag. Although not all the colours are necessarily suitable for Halloween designs, the red and black gems would be perfect and you can save the rest for other designs in the future.

This Topshop nail art pen is the perfect tool for creating designs on top of your base colour. Webs, spiders, bats and more are all possible with the help of this nifty little pen. Its also available in a range of colours including gold, silver and blue although I personally would opt for the black one to go for the most versatility. At £6.50 I do think its a bit pricey, but it would definitely make creating intricate designs very simple.

These constellation beads from MUA have been designed in a series of 5 colours inspired by the stars of the solar system, and work in the same way as caviar beads. These would be a chic way to add some dark glam to your manicure, but would also work well day to day throughout the autumn/winter seasons. For £3, I think they're well worth a try.

All of these simple and relatively cheap decorative options work well whatever base colour you use, and would also work for any occasion. These are just a few of the nail art products on the market, so go and explore and see what you can find.

With Halloween fast approaching everyone is trying to come up with the perfect costume. Whether you've got a perilous party to attend or you're simply celebrating the scary at home, nail art is the perfect way to get you in the spooky spirit. I've said in previous posts that I love the way nail design can be so expressive, and such a simple way to add a bit of seasonal flair without going all out or blowing the budget. After a quick Google search I found loads of awesome inspiration for naughty nail art, so here's some to get you inspired too!

Thanks to my amazing Mum, I am soon to be reunited with my absolute favourite lipstick! Pretty Please by Mac is a gorgeous pale pink with a hint of lustre, and is without a doubt my ultimate lipstick. Perfect for day to day make up as well as glammed up nights, this lipstick goes with everything and is my favourite face finishing touch. This may have something to do with why this will be the 7th one of these I have owned....maybe!

At £14 I know its more expensive than your average high street brand, but as a treat it is well worth the extra splurge. I cant wait to get my hands on this little beauty again!

A quick slick of nail varnish is the perfect way to add an individual touch to your outfit, and a great way of adding some seasonal sparkle. Coming into autumn/winter there are lots of gorgeous new colours on offer, from rich claret and burgundy tones to cool grey and navy. Topshop has a great range of stylish, wearable colours including some glam glittery options, like the monotone example shown above. The use of black and silver glitters keeps it chic and perfect for autumnal parties, just like this devilish deep red - perfect for halloween glam. Grey nails are always stylish, and so versatile. Perhaps go for a grey base and use the glitter polish to accent your ring finger for a touch of daytime sparkle. I can assure you, having gorgeous nails definitely helps brighten a dull, rainy day.
